today I uploaded an extension to the TER for the first time. Here is the README.txt of the extension:

There ain’t any extra documentation written for the Perfect Lightbox jQuery extension, yet.

As the extension is a porting from the original and wonderful Perfect Lightbox2 by Benjamin Niediek

I rewrote the JavaScript that connects the Perfect Lightbox functionality to TYPO3 as Bens version was written for the prototype version of the lightbox.
This new one is working with jQuery and Benjamin Arthur Luptons Lightbox for jQuery.
So some of the old configuration vars changed or got dropped. Some others were added.
Please have a look at it using the constant editor.

Thousand thanks go to Benjamin Niediek who did the major part of this extension by writing his Perfect Lightbox 2.
I only took the results of his work and wrote some adjustments to make it work with jQuery.

Also thousand thanks to Benjamin Arthur Lupton for his jQuery implementation of the Lightbox which I used as basis for porting the extension.

Jedem, der schon ein Typo3-Projekt umgesetzt hat ist zumindest einmal der recht dürftige “hauseigene” TypoScript-”Editor” im Backend aufgefallen. Verständlicherweise kann diese Variante eines “Editors in einer Website” nicht mit solchen Entwicklungsumgebungen wie bspw. Eclipse mithalten.

Tjaja, mittlerweile ist man doch etwas verwöhnt, was die Auswahl des Programmierwerkzeugs angeht. Deshalb habe ich mich umso mehr gefreut ein fantastisches, gut verständliches Howto über die Implementierung von TypoScript-Syntax-Highlighting in Eclipse gefunden zu haben.

Am heutigen Dienstag, den 17.06.2008 um 19:00 Uhr released Mozilla eine neue Major-Version des beliebten Web-Browsers Firefox.
Die neue Version 3 verspricht zahlreiche Neuerungen, wie ein nutzerfreundlicheres Interface, höhere Sicherheit beim Browsen, gesteigerte Performance, einen neuen Bookmark- und einen verbesserten Download-Manager sowie eine “intelligente” Adresszeile.
Natürlich werden auch technische Verbesserungen im Bezug auf Webstandards bspw. für die Umsetzung von CSS, umgesetzt. So wird Firefox 3 dann auch den Acid 2-Test bestehen.

Erhältlich ist Firefox bei Mozilla.

Bei der Veröffentlichung wird versucht, einen Guinness-Weltrekord aufzustellen und zwar für die häufigsten Downloads einer Software innerhalb von 24 Stunden:
